Get and show credentials with a sample person in the Sandbox
You pick one of the made-up people on the Sandbox page, get their credentials into your wallet and show them at sample verifiers.
Topics in this guide
Before you start
- The wallet is on the Sandbox: Switch the wallet to the Sandbox.
- A second screen to open the Sandbox page on (a computer or another phone).
Steps
Step 1: Open sandbox.tamga.network
Pick someone from the sample people list. Their page shows the credentials they can get.
Step 2: Identity credential: Verify my identity in the wallet
The identity service page offers two ways: Quick trial (pick a made-up person) — pick the person named on the page — or Verify with your real identity (Didit) to try the real steps.
Step 3: Institution credential: choose a type and scan the QR code with Scan
On the person's page choose the credential type; scan the QR code and enter the code shown separately.
Step 4: Show the credential at a sample verifier
Open one of the sample verifiers on the page (e.g. student discount, age check, sign in with Tamga), scan its QR code and approve. The result appears on the same page.
Step 5: Try revocation and suspension
Some sample people's credentials are revoked or suspended right after issuing; show the same credential again and see it rejected.
Good to know
- The real identity way is open to everyone: you read and accept a warning first; only given name, family name and date of birth go into the credential; the provider session is deleted as soon as the credential is issued.
- The real identity way has a daily and monthly cap; when it is full, only the quick trial is shown.
- For email and phone credentials the code is not sent anywhere, it is shown on screen; only sample addresses are accepted.
- Do not enter real personal data in the Sandbox. Data is deleted every night.

- Switch the wallet to the SandboxThe Sandbox is Tamga Network's test environment, with example institutions and made-up people; switch the wallet to it and try everything without touching your real documents. Tamga Wallet has no separate test network of its own; it uses the network's Sandbox.
- Verify your identityYou verify once remotely with your ID card or passport and your face; the result is an identity credential on your phone that institutions recognise you by.
- Show a credential on a websiteThe website shows a QR code; you scan it with Scan, see who is asking for what and why, and approve only those fields.
