Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use Tamga Wallet. Our target for the app and this website is WCAG 2.2 level AA. Below we say plainly what is ready and what is still being tested.
Last updated: 2026-10-04
Status
The accessibility work in the app is complete in code; screen-by-screen testing with screen readers on real devices has not been done yet. Until it is, we describe the app as “partially conformant”.
Supported in the app
- Screen readers (VoiceOver, TalkBack): every button, switch, tab and expandable section is read with its name and state; screen and section titles are announced as headings; decorative icons are not read.
- Announcements: errors, results and the unregistered-verifier warning are read automatically. On approval sheets, focus stays inside the sheet.
- QR codes: every QR code has a text alternative (e.g. “Pass QR code, refreshes in n seconds”); the live clock is not read out every second.
- Larger text: the system text size is followed up to 2×; side-by-side buttons stack when needed.
- Touch targets: interactive elements are at least 44×44 points.
- Colour and contrast: all colour pairs in the light and dark themes are measured and checked by tests (text ≥ 4.5:1, component borders ≥ 3:1). Status is never conveyed by colour alone; every warning has an icon and text.
- Motion: with “Reduce Motion” (iOS) / “Remove animations” (Android) on, transitions are simplified.
- PIN keypad: every digit is labelled; the number of digits entered is announced.
On this website
- All pages can be used with a keyboard; focus is always visible. A “Skip to content” link is at the top of every page.
- Headings are in order and the page language is marked (English / Turkish); links say what they open.
- Light and dark themes; your device setting is the default. Colour pairs were chosen for WCAG AA contrast.
- If reduced motion is on in your device, the site has no scrolling or transition effects.
- The interactive example (“Show only what's needed”) works with a keyboard; its result is announced to screen readers.
Known limitations
- In the app, the document type and person's name on a document card may be cut off at very large text sizes in card view; screen readers read the full text.
- Institution category icon colours may fall below 3:1 in the light theme; they are decorative and the category name is always written next to them.
- A real-device screen-reader review (iPhone and Android) will be done before the store release; we will report what we find here.
- Wide tables in the privacy policy need horizontal scrolling on small screens.
Basis
Criteria: WCAG 2.2 AA and the Apple and Android accessibility guidelines. In the EU, accessibility is tied to WCAG AA through the harmonised standard EN 301 549; if a formal conformance statement is required, it will be assessed legally.
Feedback
If you hit a barrier, write to us: support@tamgawallet.com. Telling us which screen or page and which assistive technology (e.g. VoiceOver, TalkBack, screen magnifier) helps us fix it faster.
