Lost phone
If your phone is lost or stolen, you can close your wallet without it. You need the revocation code shown once during setup.
Close your wallet
- Open the closing page: provider.tamgawallet.com/lost.
- Enter your revocation code and confirm.
- The page asks for no name, phone number or email.
The closing page is on Tamga Wallet's own wallet provider service; that is the only place to close your wallet.
What happens when you close it?
- The wallet is closed; institutions stop issuing documents or renewals to it.
- Documents issued by the Tamga identity service (identity, driving licence information, contact credentials) are revoked within 24 hours; verifiers reject them.
- If the phone ever connects to the internet again, the wallet deletes its documents by itself.
- Closing does not delete your records at Tamga. To delete them: Delete my data.
- With the same code you can see your wallet's status (active or closed, and why) on the My wallet status page.
On a new phone
- Install Tamga Wallet on the new phone. Keys are bound to the phone, so documents do not move; you get them again from the institutions.
- When you verify your identity again, your “Sign in with Tamga” pseudonyms come back; your accounts on websites are not lost.
- If you made a password-protected transfer file on the old phone earlier, you can bring your presentation history to the new phone.
If you don't have the revocation code
When you verify your identity again on a new phone, the identity credential on the old phone is revoked automatically. If you need more help, write to us: support@tamgawallet.com.
